      Altrusa DFW is a local community service non-profit group, with membership open to all. We primarily focus on hunger and literacy among children and women in need. We are a small group, usually around 25 members, that touches the lives of 8,000+ each year.

      Our annual signature projects are our Red Bag Food Drive (collecting 20,000 pounds of non-perishables for local food banks per year), Holiday Baskets of Joy (providing baskets with gift cards, holiday food items, sweet treats, and fresh fruit to CISD support staff), School Supply Drive (providing hundreds of filled backpacks annually to students in need), Filling the Gap (providing personal items, baby needs, household necessities, and more to struggling families), and other service projects.

      New members are always welcome!
